Tele-Health Child and Adolescent Therapist
This position is based in Dickinson, ND.
This position has been created to fulfill the Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program grant that was awarded to the ND Department of Health and Prairie St. John's. The person who fulfills this position will be part of a grant which is projected to last five years. During that time an infrastructure will be created to increase Mental Health Care to pediatric patients and their families throughout rural North Dakota communities. The position may become permanent upon the grant cycle completion.
Essential Job Duties:
Therapy services provided will predominantly be completed via a tele-health.
The Therapist completes a therapeutic evaluation for behavioral health history and uses this information to document signs; symptoms; physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual implications; and treatment recommendations. The therapist may be asked to speak with other providers to share their observations and recommendations; as well as re-evaluate patients to determine progress throughout the course of care.
The Therapist provides individual or family therapy based on objectives identified in the treatment plan developed. Psychological education is also something that the therapist would participate in with the client and/or family.
The Therapist is responsible for coordinating care with the Tele-Health Case Manager and other care providers.
Thorough documentation of screening/assessments, evaluations, therapy notes, contacts made must be accurate and timely.
The Therapist has a professional duty to warn in cases of child and vulnerable adult protection.
Job Requirements
ND Licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, (LICSW), Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW).
Experience working with child and adolescent populations.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Communicate thoroughly and accurately in a professional manner both verbally and in writing. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are expected.
Successful employees demonstrate a pleasant upbeat demeanor and a positive attitude.
Able to use Microsoft Office products, (Power Point, Outlook, Word, Excel) and video conferencing platforms.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
